Solicitor - LLB
Nathan joined the Lawhub team in November 2022 and provides professional legal services as a Family Court Lawyer. This includes taking instructions, attending to the client, identifying factual and legal issues and merits of the case, preparing documents, reviewing documents and appearing in Court.
He specialises in Family Law (Care of Children, Family Violence, Oranga Tamariki, Protection of Personal and Property Rights, Adoption, Paternity) and General Law (Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney), and is also a supervised provider of Legal Aid.
Nathan graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand on 9 February 2018.
He began practicing as a lawyer on 2 August 2021. Before that, he worked in the Family Court as a Deputy Registrar for four years in Auckland and Christchurch. Working at the Registry provided an insight into the inner workings of the Court, which allows him to better serve his clients.
For Nathan, the most rewarding parts of his job are working with the team at Lawhub, finding practical solutions to legal problems and helping people to resolve their differences.
Outside of work, Nathan is involved with the Christchurch Transitional Cathedral (Anglican), serves on the Bromley Community Association Committee, and spends his spare time reading, going for walks and having hot chocolate with his friends.
