At Lawhub, we provide comprehensive legal assistance to ensure a smooth surrogacy journey. Surrogacy is when a surrogate carries a baby to term on behalf of intending parents, and instead of the intended mother. If you are an individual or couple in New Zeland planning on using a surrogate, you will need to legally adopt the child once it has been born, in order to get parental rights. The birth parent/s is/are the legal parent/s until an adoption is final.

Our family law team will support and guide you through the adoption process — We’ll help you liaise with Oranga Tamariki and will assist you with your application to the Family Court for an Adoption Order.
